My Last Friday Tasting

Hola, everyone,

Well, Friday finally got here. Took long enough. This is it, my last weekend as The Wine Behren. Feeling those tears welling up. Should be a good send off.

I do hope all my loyal followers will be able to come down tonight and have a glass of wine with me.
I have put together one hell of a line up for the tasting tonight. Some great wines. Big boys. So, get that palette ready.

Tasting starts at 5 and goes till around 8. Please join me.

Thanks, and love you all.

Last Newsletter from The Wine Behren

Hello All, Happy Tuesday to all of you.

I hate to say it but this is the last newsletter you will be receiving from yours Truly. That's right. This Saturday, August 29th is my last day as your friendly neighborhood wine shop owner. For those of you scratching your head and asking yourself, what the hell is this nut job talking about, let me explain, briefly.
I sold the shop to a wonderful, fun, wine loving couple from Seattle. Randy & Karen Reader take over September 1st. Do not worry, they will keep it as your favorite local watering hole.
As for me, I will be sitting right next to you on the consuming side of the bar. Yaaa, baby. Looking forward to sharing a couple glasses with you all. ( Or a bottle or two.)

I want to say thank you to all of you who have made my last 2 years here absolutely awesome. Kristal and I are not going anywhere, despite what you might of heard. We are staying in town. So, you will still have to put up with us.

Ok, almost misted up back there. Let's move on to more exciting issues. This Friday, August 28th will be my last Friday Night Tasting as The Wine Behren. I have personally picked out 7 amazing wines to help us usher in the new era. Or usher out the old?

Aaron from D'Vine Wines will be here from 5-8. He will be pouring:
2007 K Vintners Viognier
2007 Buty White Bordeaux (Semillon/ Sauv Blanc)
2007 Three Angels Zinfandel
2006 Goose Ridge G3 (Syrah, Merlot, Malbec)
2007 Buty Merlot/ Cab Franc
2006 Januik Cab (92 Points)
AND:
2003 La Sirena Syrah.

All friggin' yummy.

Please come down and join me for my last BIG HU-RAH. I will be on the floor hanging out with everyone, so please come down and join me for my last weekend as your Wine Behren.

Thanks
The Wine Behren.

Wine Behren Newsletter

Wow, what a turn out for our 1st Annual Forest Grove Uncorked. If you missed Saturday in down town Forest Grove I am sorry. What a great turn out. I don't have exact numbers but I think we had a little over 500 people attend the 1st wine festival in Forest Grove.

I would like to thank everyone who made this happen, ( I sound like I'm excepting an Oscar or something) City Club of FG committee, you know who you are, thank you for all your hard work. It paid off. I would like to thank all our vendors, all 12 wineries and food vendors for being apart of this event. Our two bands for rocking it Saturday night. And to all the volunteers who put in a long day on Saturday, it could not of happened if not for you.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. ( Can't wait till next year)

Ok, tomorrow were gonna have a scorcher for Farmers market, so come early, get your produce, get a quick bite, then find your way into The Wine Behren for a cold glass of Pinot Gris and some AC.

Friday night tasting I will be hosting Hip Chicks Wines, come down and try there new releases. It has been a while since the Girls have been here, so come on down and show your support.

Thanks, see ya all real soon.

Ciao for now.
