2nd Year Anniversary newsletter

Hello All,

I have a great week planned for all you faithful wine tasters. Tomorrow is Farmer's Market, and I will be doing dollar tastes of what ever I have open, from 5-7.

I have no idea how many of you actually read my newsletter but if you do, you might remember me rambling on about my 2nd Year Anniversary weekend coming up soon. Well, that weekend is here.

To kick it off, Aaron from D'Vine Wines will be here Friday night from 5-8. Aaron and I put together a "Wines from Around The World Tasting for you all this Friday. Here is the line up:
New Zealand Sauv Blanc, German Reisling, French Burgundy, Malbec from Argentina, Rioja from Spain and a Napa Cab to finish it off. Tasting is from 5-8 and is $5.00

You think that is a sweet line up, wait till you see what I have in store for you on Saturday.

Ok, so I can't not believe 2 years has gone by. To say thank you to all of you winos out there I decided to throw another bash like last year. If you missed my One Year, do not fret. Check this out.
I will open the doors at 2pm Saturday afternoon. From 2-4pm I will be pouring Basel Cellars: Sauv Blanc, Merlot, Cab, and Claret. Basel has so become a house favorite I had to have it. This is the Walla Walla Cab, the high end one.

From 4-6, the Lovely Heather, from Casa Bruno will be pouring Italian wines: How about a little bubbles to start off. Toffoli Prosecco, Beretta Soave, Marziano Abbona Dolcetto, Felsina (Italy's number on winery of 2008) Chianti Classico, and to finish off this amazing line up how about a little La Fortuna 2004 Brunello di Montalcino.

Alright, to bring this bad boy home, I asked Josh, from Signature Wines to pour some California BIG BOYS. We decided on some Cliff Led'e Sauv Blanc, Napa Cellars Chardonnay, (my Style) , Napa Cellars Zinfandel, (another house favorite) Napa Cellars Cabernet, and a Petite Sirah from Peirano. Josh is pouring from 6-8 pm.

Dawn will be doing her famous cheese bread and buffalo sausage. There will be other treats as well.

I have some live music coming in at 5. Dale Miller will be here. Go check him out at http://www.myspace.com/demillemusic .

Mom and Dad will be here all weekend and Kristal's parents should be here for the Saturday night festivities. Wow, gonna be a full weekend. Can't wait.

2nd Anniversary

Good Day Everyone,

Just a quick reminder that next weekend is my 2nd year Anniversary. Which means I am throwing a wine tasting BASH!

I am kicking off the Anniversary celebration Friday night with a wines from around the world tasting with Aaron from D'Vine Wines, 5-8pm.
We have a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, A German Riesling, Pinot Noir from Burgundy, a Malbec from Argentina, a Tempranillo from Rioja, Spain and you have to end a tasting of this caliber with a Montoya Cabernet from Na pa, California. Dam, what a line up.

Ok, so, Friday's line up pretty tough to top, right? Ya, maybe if your some one else rather than The Wine Behren.

So, Saturday the shin-dig starts when my doors open at 2pm. Andy Minor from the ONE & ONLY BASEL CELLARS will be here pouring his line up. A little SB, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cab Franc, Cab and the Basel Claret. Basel has definitely become a house favorite.

From 4-6 Heather from Casa Bruno will be here with an Italian line up. I'm thinking some crisp, fruity whites, maybe a Soave or a Pinot Grigio. have to have a Prosecco or a Moscato. Throw in some Dolcetto and a Chinati. And how about a Barolo or Brunello, your gone have to show up to find out.

Not enough yet. OK. To finish up this amazing day of tasting, Josh, from Signature Wines is coming in a clean up, 6-8 pm and he will be pouring some BIG BOYS from California. Yep. Big Cabs and Chardonnay's. It's gonna be friggin a great wrap up to our day.

Along with all the wine there will be appetizers available and I am handing out 10 raffle tickets to each person who comes through the door. I have tons of winery schwag to give away. I will be drawing tickets for the schwag every 30 minutes.

If this isn't enough, come down to say hi to Mom and Dad. They will be here all weekend.

Thanks.

Newsletter

Hello to you all,

I do hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July. Mine was very mellow and relaxing, just what the doctor ordered.

Well, tomorrow, we are right back in the swing of things. We start off with Farmer's Market Wednesday from 4-8 on Main St. Local, fresh produce, Food vendors, and live music. Always a great time. Make sure you stop in to The Wine Behren for a glass of vino to go with your Tamales or Pulled Pork sandwitch

This Friday Night at The Wine Behren, Kelda from Vin De Garde Wine's will be here. It will be a first time for her so make sure you all come out to show her that Forest Grove support. Her and I are still up in the air as to what we want to feature. It is either going to be Greek Wines, or a mix of Washington Cabs, and red blends. I don't know. Either way, it should be fun.

Music in the PARK is July 12th from 1 to 4 at Roger's park.

The following Saturday, July 18th, is my 2nd year Anniversary. I have lined up tastings from 2-4, 4-6 and 6-8.
There will be lot's of appetizers, and I am still trying to round up some live music. I will be handing raffle tickets to everyone who walks through the door. I have a ton of free prizes to raffle off. You don't want to miss out.

Should be a great Month. Thanks Ciao.
